Ah, this got bumped, awesome!

I got all the little **** sorted. Fuel filter was plugged shut, replaced axle, put in prothane mounts all around, oil pressure sender was leaking so that's fixed, new cap/rotor/ngk wires, valve cover gasket is also replaced.

I also picked up another black dash to fixed the bow in the current one, a bnib aem cai, and some good condition used tires from a friend to replace the bald **** on there now.

Figuring I'll pick up an ebay header next month.

All in all, a nice progression

Is the metal copper? Consider doing the ghetto-rod-bearing-replacement to save tons-o-money and create peace-o-mind.

The cam lobes don't look so hot, but the motor has 175 +- 2psi across all 4.

See Man?

I told him the same thing.

The car looks really good. I'd throw some silver on those center caps.

You an flush the motor while you are in there. Its up to you of course.

I know but I've got a friend in town. He won't be into it. I'll make the hike out there soon.

Don't hesitate. The metal is only copper. It can't do much harm and 99% of it never gets picked up by the oil pickup, and what does gets caught by the filter. Many, many, many people have done the rod bearing replacement (bearings went for what ever reason) and as long as you avoid the reason the bearing went in the first place (oil starvation, high revs with cold motor, etc.) then you should be fine for another 150,000-300,000 miles.

Yeah, that makes sense. The motor does have good compression, too, so it's a shame to just get rid of it.

I will look into it. Thanks!
