Thread: ecu help

hey guys, i have this ecu its called "spl computer brain" by central 20. im guessing its the same type of deal as the mines ecu, id like to figure out what this is tuned for but i cant seem to find anything on the company, if anyone knows where or how i can find out what this is tuned for the help would be greatly appreciated*

You can pull the ROM out using consult and check out the map. Or open it up and pull the chips off and read them using an eprom reader.

Hard to tell otherwise. It would be a standard powerup type deal, bit more fuel and timing but for otherwise stock stuff, or it could be for major upgrades like turbo injectors and maf. I read in another thread that you can email them with the serial number to find out, but that's assuming that no-one has fiddled with it since they did it.

Did it come from a front cut that you got a motor from, if so, then its more than likely going to match the spec of the engine.

well I had got the ECU with a built engine that I bought but the guy I got it from didnt seem to know a whole lot about it as he got an engine builder down here to put it together for him. he said they ordered the ECU for him im guessing they would be smart and get it for what they were putting in the engine, but the engine is built but its not built much different then stock as far as compression ratio goes, its got 8.5-1 compression cp pistions rather than the 8.3-1 stock pistons, I suppose it would be hard to order an ECU from a company like that without knowing what your going to run for injectors or a turbo for that matter so I really dont know, better be safe then sorry. I found their website a few hours after posting this and I did email them but I assume it wont be till after the weekend that I hear from them, Thanks for the help anyways!! much appreciated
