How are you copying the tables over from obdI to obdII as they use different fuel tables?

You're right, just the timing map could be copied... The OBD II uses AFRs and OBD I use a different scale

Damn, I was hoping that you knew of some secret way to change the fuel table that I was unaware of. Would be nice to be able to easily convert an obdI bin to obdII.

I spoke to a friend who is using a Nistune RT and he told me he was able to do it, let me ask him again how he does it.

I would honestly just make your own. As long as you keep your AFR's right the fuel table is correct. Copying the fuel table is pointless because the K value on OBDI is different then on OBDII.

Having an RT helps a ton in this case, or a chip burner.

when i made the tune im using now i started from a stock de bin..

first thing i did was set it to use the n60 maf then the 333 injectors.. from there i adjusted the fuel an timing maps and thats it really...

i know i could do more to help the cold start issues an all that an i have played with it a little but my laptop sucks an until i get a new one i only have a few mins at a time to play around..

Bingo, that's how it should be done. You need to start with the BIN that is designed for your specific ECU part number, and build from there. I've had bins that are supposed to be for the same setup not work/knock for me.

I know it's a lot to learn, but it might save you an engine. We really should force people to buy a chip burner when they buy a basic ECU

See all this is what bothers me.... Seem like a lot of work for something that I just don't have the know how to do on my own. I'm a person that learns from watching someone do this stuff. And now what worries me is the fact that if the fuel maps are not correct and all this I was reading about knocking and motor issues. I think I will just pass. And get the MAF that ECU is tuned for.

This whole obd1 and obd2 b.s pisses me off that no one seems to give a rats ass about obd2. When it's not that much of a difference. Once again... b14's get the shit end of the deal. And I refuse to pay out the ass for a JWT and Nistune... 500 bucks for an ecu to me is just a joke.
