I used Rotella T6 for 2 track days and it seems to hold up fine. Both track days were in 90F+ days.

Engine didn't blow up and engine still works. Not sure what else you need from an oil. I put in fresh oil before each track day.

I run mobil 1 10-30 in my sr20det powered car making 350whp with no issue. I have been running mobil 1 for 8 years and never had a problem. I drift, drag, road race, and daily drive the car. I recently stopped using K&N oil filters because they are now made is Mexico and are poor quality. I have switched to Mobil 1 filters because they are close to the original K&N filters.

What you are going to find is people get religious about their oil and what they feel is best.

..almost same thing with oil filters but we use exclusively WIX oil filters (cheaper than Nissan and always worked great for us) ...but I concur to NEVER USE FRAM!!!

We change our oil after every track day anyway and always use our own blend of synthetic and dino oil (usually 1 qt of synthetic only per oil change FWIW)... with how often we change our oil, the only days we go full synthetic is if we are going to double stint the car on a 95+ degree day!

I assume you are joking with that one..

Anyways, I go with 3 quarts of Valvoline synthetic 10W-30 and 1 quart of 5W-30. Sometimes Mobil-1 synthetic if I can find it but it's harder and harder to find that weight at Walmart where it's like 6-8 bucks cheaper for the big 5 quart jug than the Auto parts stores.

Oh and also don't skimp on the oil filters and get the $2 Frams. Get the real Nissan ones from the dealer. They're only like $8 bucks.

FYI the Nissan Filters are made in China now....not Japan. I would love to cut one of each apart to see if theres a difference, but either way,if its made in china...no thanks..

I did notice that the part number changed slightly. The numbers are the same except for the last digit.

Thanks for the input I have been using Mobil 1 for a while with the Mobil 1 filter I am gonna try your mix chris101 with valvoline synthetic.

On a side note if anyone uses mechanical gauges inside the car with isolators and can offer anything up as to why they aren't working would be great

Rotella T6 seems to work well in the SR

I plan on using Liqui Moly Synthoil Race Tech GT1 10W-60 in the BMW this year.

Rotella T6 5W-40 for the rally car. Also for the tow rig (turbo diesel).
