I'll try to post up some pics of my battery set....Trunk mounted,sealed box,outside kill switch & vented outside the car.

I recommend the SR80 Stinger relay for this (80 amp relay). I've had very good luck with it. No failure in over 6 years. It just does it's job and didn't cost a bunch.

Mount the relay up front and run the alternator current through it to keep those wires short. Wire it so the relay is closed when your kill switch is closed, and have it open when your kill switch is open (in the "off" position).

To answer you question Blair I have a 3/16 plate underneath where the bolts go threw to keep things better secured and prevent the nuts and washer from pulling threw in a impact . I do plan on running a different box that is better sealed and a stronger tie down and maybe run a vent system .
