I need brake pad help
I need a new set of pads.

I have HP racing 6-piston calipers on 12.5" rotors.

The pads i have are nearing the end of their life and i am trying to find replacements. When i bought them, the pads were new and in the box as i have the box.

The ones i have are performance frictions p/n 9184.42.16.04

I have tried that p/n in almost every single "performance brake pad" website to no luck. I have also sent emails to performance friction with no replies.

Pretty much the only option left is to call performance friction but i should be able to find pads somewhere i thought??

Any help would be appreciated.

WTF are you doing with 6 piston calipers on an NX?!?!?!?

I have some experience with PFC part numbers. Lemme see if I can help here.

9184.42.16.04

The way PFC does their part numbers is this: The first number (9184) identifies the overall shape of the pad. It means nothing other than "that shape right thar is #9184 in the book..." The second number is compound. I am unaware of a "42" compound. Third number is thickness in mm (16mm thick pads), and the last number usually means 4 pads per set (some have 8 pads/set, or even 12, like the Z06 caliper)

Are you *sure* that's a PFC part number? Because 9184 is not a shape I'm familiar with and 42 compound does not exist. Are you real sure about that part number?

You can also try contacting PFC direct.

I am positive that is the part number

Under the p/n it also says "prototype", which is obviously the reason why i cannot find it anywhere.

I was searching for the shapes of the pads on websites and i found some that may be it. I won't know until spring when i get the car out of storage to pull the pad and measure, it was at the Pagid website?

Thanks for your help as what you gave me already may help with the thickness.
