great location. I go there even though it means an overnight and 3-4 hours each way from NW CT.

under $230 a day for highly qualified instruction, typical 4 sessions on track, 4 in classroom, and while you might solo if you nail everything day one, you typically need to attend two schools to rate a COMSCC license which lets you run any of their events. They're serious about teaching people how to do it right, IMHO a lot better than slapping an "N" on a car, running a session or two with an instructor and then turning people loose on the track. NHMS is a great learning track, but not especially forgiving, and there are wide run out areas in strategic locations for a reason

"In order to keep the fun quotient high and the risk/damage factor low, COMSCC does not hold races. Instead each event consists of a Driver's School on the first day and Time Trials (also known as Time Attack) on the second day.
The Driver's School gives the student the opportunity to drive their street car on a race track under controlled conditions and the supervision of a qualified instructor. Each student attends two classroom sessions in addition to their track time. Students learn the concepts of the road racing sport, such as the meaning and use of flags, "the line", and most importantly; proper car control including cornering, acceleration, and braking techniques that benefit the student not only on the road course, but in emergency street situations as well. Time Trials
The Time Trial allows the student to "compete" against other students without the risks associated with wheel-to-wheel racing. A time trial is essentially a race against the clock. In a format similar to autocrossing, each participant makes timed runs around the track, and these times are compared against other drivers competing in similar types of vehicles. Finishing order is determined by lap times, with the lowest time being the "winner".
Athough most new students are allowed to Time Trial at their first event it should not be expected. New students must be approved by an instructor before being allowed to Time Trial since the participant drives solo. We sill encourage you to sign up for both days and if you are not signed off to Time Trial a refund will be given for the second day."
Safe and fun, and you learn more in a day than many higher priced schools. People are great, serious but fun, kind of what you might expect in the state of "Live Free or Die"
