Problems with B14 RT, experts needed, bit of reading involved
I'm having an issue with my B14 Rt ecu. I just recently got my new setup in the car and ready to run. Mainly new engine, and a fairly simple t28 setup. No major changes were made to the car except painting of the engine bay, and a slight wire tuck.

That being said, When I turn the key from the off to on position, it has a "surge" of sorts. The fuel pump makes wierd noises and the tach bounces up and down very rapidly. The car will not crank with the ecu in. This is what's wrong.

I have checked all grounds, and they are fine. The car does NOT illustrate the same symptoms with the stock ecu in the car. It works just fine, cranks beautifully(aside from starter squeal), and is getting fuel and spark to the engine.

I bought the ecu used off the forum and the guy said it worked just fine. I'll take his word for it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I hope I have described what happens well enough to get some help with it.

It was a poor ground connection.
