Im an advocate of "dont knock it until you try it"

But at the same time, if a customer is not happy purely on cosmetic appearance of a product. They are still entitled to a refund.

Guys.. I have a 1 car garage to work on my car in.. it's not even my garage.. I can not just tear my car apart to see if they will fit.. if they don't what am I supposed to do? Put it back to stock b13 trans? I can't do that..

Maybe the pics Are not clear enough but I'm pretty sure if you guys received these you would be unhappy as well..

no, you are supposed to put it on the stands for over 3 months while they are "being worked on" back at performance plus... but even then, I doubt any warranty would be offered as clearly the shop is not standing behind their work nor care about their reputation as an honest business.

If this isn't the case, then im all ears. I can always sell the mazworx kits at a later time. these are unsellable even in new condition. I really really don't want to fly into the backwoods of Kentucky, but will if I have to as my consumer rights will never be violated by anyone.

If Performance Plus is willing to take the mounts back, and rebuild/replace them with 2 sets, that are properly constructed from start to finish, with repeatable accuracy, with proof that both kits are mounted and fit properly, concurrently, within a reasonable time frame (14 days) then id be willing to do that, otherwise it ill pursue this to the extent that the law allows, and will post negative reviews from every avenue possible like yelp for example.

From the BBB

"The customer was given a $230 discount and the items were shipped for free because of the fact that he was going to be the first person to receive these mounts. It took us 3 months to develop this product and we do not offer returns on custom parts."

From Performance Plus - "Yes, I can give you a break on the kits if you buy two. That would be a $30 discount on fees and a $25 discount on the mounts/carriers"

Seems discount was achieved from quantity, not from place in line. Shady business practices once again, and lying to the BBB certainly does not go over well. Please review your math as well on the discount given, $60 + $50 does NOT equal $230.

custom parts are exactly that... custom. They are not offered and advertised as a product for sale to the masses. That would be like saying a McDonalds big mac is custom by the same definition. Its hand built to order.... except at least they can get the buns, meat, etc a uniform size and production consistency and quality is a quite bit higher, even with unskilled labor.

Lets review the time line:
3/21 - Inquiry Sent
3/22 - Pictures of Transmission Bracket recieved
3/24 - Order Placed
3/28 - Rear mount and drive shaft loop pictured completed and ready
4/14 - Inquiry as to status of parts "being worked on" yet pictures show they were nearly completed already
6/15 - Another Inquiry is sent as to the status of the parts. Still "being worked on" and more pictures of the already completed parts were sent. Parts that were paid for are not STILL not completed at this time: "We used the factory spec v bracket on another car and it worked just fine. You shouldn't have any issues using the spec v bracket. If you do, we'll worry about a solution then. Update your shipping address for me and I'll schedule a pick up to get these out to you." - shipping address was updated sent, and new brackets purchased out of pocket.

6/15 through 7/1 - STILL not shipped

7/1 - Shipping notification

Based upon the pictures received, and the timeline stated, I find it very difficult to believe that the 3 month wait was for development time.

Timeline is entirely verifiable via Facebook.

Performance Plus is in possession of the 2 mount kits now. Mazworx kits have already arrived, and they are of acceptable build quality.

So you never even tried the mounts on any of the cars due to the way they look?
