Thread: OBX silicone radiator hoses.

Upon more searching, I think it is a silicone hose issue. Guys with Samco, Mishimotor, OBX, etc.

Yes, ALL silicone hoses are the same in this regard.

Gates racing makes rubber hoses. I have a set on my car no leaks.

Really would have liked a red set. Ricer inside wants some clean looking hoses.

Dammit Ben, why couldn't you have told me to search for this thread before I bought my HPS hoses.

I was on the Gates Racing site and they only listed Nissan Silvia and Skyline. Can you post part numbers?

If I were you I would return them. I certainly would not install them.

Fortunately, I was able to return them and got a full refund. New regular hoses from Napa are now in place. And I just want to say how awesome my new cooling system is. New koyo, two 12" puller spal fans, and water wetter/distilled water and today I was driving in 100+ temps into the mountains with the a/c on and the coolant temp barely crept over 200 before going back down to around 195!

I bit the bullet not long after I made my original post in this thread. They treated me right. No signs of leaking. Saw plenty of heat especially on the dyno pull after pull. Overall, I was happy with the purchase. Maybe I lucked out.
