Thread: Spec clutches

Please for the love of god somebody tell me something good about spec clutches

i love mine

I have used a Spec Stage 4 clutch for over a year now..Launching @ 8K...It has held up to the abuse I put it through. The only problem now is that my tranny cracked

I know someone with a stage 3 spec clutch in his 240sx (ka24de) and it grips pretty damn hard... I actually like it

i had a few explode on me
the damper springs would fly out and cause havoc
yea ill never use a spec again

was it in a fwd sr20 car?

spec isnt the best nor the worst.
I wouldnt run them after going with clutchmasters.

my buddy loves spec to death. i had 0 luck with them. now i was leaning towards their twin disc due to this guy that runs TNclutch knowing the person that runs the company and after talking to them i felt very comfortable about running one. but then again. you get bad and good. my first rodeo wasnt a very good one but customer service was amazing. and all my v8 buddies love them.

I've got one in my matrix and hate it. It chatters like crazy at random times and yes I resurfaced the flywheel and everything. I won't buy another.
