Hmmm maybe I should upgrade my MAF for better flow.

Off topic: GTFO is that you in the videos? It cant be. I guess its true when they say you gain weight when you get married.

I have yet to see something that significant with a filter, but our flow stacks are designed (CFD) with RF-1048, which has an end cap.

Yup get a new MAF, especially since your spraying, you don't want to top out your MAF.

Yup I grew a beard and picked up some weight . It was the whole come home from work and work on the car, swap the engine, for what like 4 months non stop? haha

I was pretty impressed myself, I was expecting higher numbers without the filter. As soon as that filter went on the horsepower jumped back up to 230 where it would was for the first couple runs and every run after.

Now I didn't use that filter, I do have one ready to go in, I had the filter that looks like this:

That filter is the K&N filter that came with the JWT Pop Charger.

Would that size fit the BPi? I like that filter better than the one that comes with the stack kit BPi - Performance Velocity Stack

Primarily because the one you have has the filter vented top and the ones on the BPi page have the metal cap on them.

If that filter would fit the BPi, do you have a P/N for that filter?

It fits. I have the same flow stack and filter on my car. The filter comes with the JWT Pop Charger kits. Pretty sure you can buy them directly from JWT. (Any 6" filter will fit on the BPi flow stack.)

Next time at the dyno I will dyno DE maf on the E60 maf, then compare it to the pop charger to make it more fair hehe.

That is if my filter will be within easy reach next time haha.

As for the filter, it's 6" diameter, all of the flow stacks are going to be 6".

JWT Pop Chargers used to have one piece tops, but for some reason stopped. Now I'm wishing I took my K&N filter with one piece cap to compare the difference!

It seems that I may have to buy the JWT filter and then the BPi flow stack.

So just to clarify, you use the filter with the open top like the one in the pic?

Do you know when you're gonna dyno again?

Yup I used the JWT filter, but I don't think the one with the flat top would be any different.

I wont be going for a while, I really want to, but $100 is just hard to throw away so soon again

Ya I feel ya. Gotta make sure you have enough things to test before you go again. Are you gonna stick with the BPi? If yes, are you gonna richen up your mixture with it on?

Yes sir sticking to the BPi, it got me the best results, and I'm gonna get one for my wife's P11.

I already richned up the mixture, it made me loose power haha, but then I regained it with timing. But to be safe for summer have to have it at least 12:1 ratio hehe.
