KYB GR2 shocks/struts.
Got a nice deal on eBay - $205 with free shipping for a set of KYB GR2's.
What a deal.
The original idea was to go with lowering springs and AGX's, but i couldn't find a 'moderate' lowering spring with a good rate, and wasn't up to the task of trying to find hyperco gen 1's..
So i put these babies on today, also replacing the original spring pads, shock/strut mounts, and bearings, which were all totally torn up and dry!
And i must say; not bad! The car feels like it has no body roll compared to the OEM shocks! Just as tight as my BMW e36 when i had H&R springs ( 1in. drop ) + koni shocks/struts. I am very impressed and did not expect such good results. At the same time, it soaks up broken pavement better. But it's no Buick. IMHO... a fine balance between 'kickass corner carver' and 'girlfriend transport'
GR2's are a good deal, even if you pay more for them than i did. If you're looking for a moderate impreovement over stock operation, this is it.
