Please do a spherical bearing and not a ball joint. This way we can use a shank and spacer setup to adjust the height as needed. Additionally you could make it so it can be adjusted in and out easily for easy camber adjustment, and final geometry tuning.

EDIT:

Would spherical work in like DD applications though?

No they wouldn't, they would get eaten up quicker by road grim than stock ball joints in stock control arms on lowered cars, defeating the point of most people buying these. If you want the spherical bearing then you want Race applications and you should just modify the sock control arm like Mike did, it's not hard to weld a small plate and bolt on a cut control arm.

Wouldnt spherical bearing dust caps rectify that?

I like that design above. We will install these. This way they can be moved in and out and up and down for the needed postition of each persons drop. I will see if I can make something similar like this today, might have to order it.

Just ordered the parts. They will be height and camber adjustable. Should have something done in a week or so.

A. Yes, they do make bearing dust caps for shpereical bearings. And, in my opinion, if they went this route it will be fully tunable to EVERYONE's very diffrent needs, and replacing the bearing is 100 times easier with that setup then a ball joint. Yes, the bearing will wear slightly faster. Yes, you can get a boot to slow that down. Yes, they cost a tad more. But I feel all the pros of the bearing highly outweigh the cons.

B. Thank god you guys are going that route now. Just make sure sway bars can hook up to it and I will be happy as hell if you do the ends similar to how it's shown above. When will you be taking pre-orders?
