Tiff, Kimme, and some of their friends are coming to Orlando March 11-15 for MegaCon Anime convention. She could drive it down and leave it with you for a month or so. I would want it back by the end of April. Would that type of timeline work for you?

Just wondering, would goign further towards the front of the car with the brace make any difference? Most of the flexing would happen in the strut tower area or so, but I figure if you were to leave the "existing" mounting point there, and then extend the bar another 6-9 inches forward and put another mounting point at the front of the bar, you'd not only have 4 mounts for the bracket but also more metal that you'd be tying into...

Any thoughts?

Chassis foam. I think filling those frames with chassis stiffening foam a la Shawn B would be a better idea than "extending" the mounting point.

I dont think in front of the shock tower really matters a whole lot. I think we are really only trying to stiffen the shock tower to the main chassis to keep the suspension geometry more constant.

There is a lot of sheetmetal that ties into the strut tower area (in front of the strut tower), along with the metal that goes across the car on top of the rad (radiator core support?)...
