The only other thing that we can use is a clevis joint, but those will need new holes drilled into the car. When we installed the bar on Jays car it did not move at all, so I am thinking that over the 50mile drive home the jam nuts might have loosened up just a touch. I asked him to torque everything down again. If the bar moved, I can have some conical washers made so that the heim joint gets jamed and wont move, or you can just use a big washer that will solve the problem of it moving.

What did we decide on this? Heim joints OK or no?

I have them as tight as they will go...its a heimjoint(designed to move) so it wont matter how tight the bolts are. I am gonna find another way to stop the movement(maybe tack weld the socket or something.)
It moves about an inch front to back.It does not flop around, you have to move it.However it has put a few dimples in my crossmember from hitting it
I have autocrossed it with no problems.I love the way the car feels with this bar!!!
Overall it is a great improvement, and for the price ,I still feel like its a good deal.
I understand the perspective of OEM to keep the price down. That is why they used these ends instead of welding up the bars. The heim joint ends also help with installation a little, too. We just need to get them to be solid after installed.

Ultimately solid ends on this bar would be the best solution,we will see what we can come up with.

That may work..
We will need longer bolts to add a washer for sure.

Hey Eggman did you use your stock control arm bolts with this bar? Because I looked at the b14 control arm bolts and they seem like they would be a little short ofter instalation of the bar.

OEM supplied longer bolts with the bar...that reminds me I need to try to get my old bolts back in case I need the bar off for any reason.

I never received longer control arm studs with my bar. All that came with my order was the yellow bar, yellow bag with 2 bar end and nuts. Who do I contact about that because I sent a pm out 2 weeks ago and nobody replied to it.
