Let me ask you guys a question right, how much clearance is supposed to be on the end of each pivot bolt. Right now I have about 3/8'' and that's without the washers....I was trying to install the bar today but ended up not doing so because of that issue.

Overall I am happy with the purchase. However I was dissapointed to see the $15 bolts I ordered did not come with matching nuts, and given they were not matching thread pitch of the oem bolts, I still had to make a trip to the store and search down proper nuts.

Dudeman good to see you got your installed...very good... on your bar how much space do you have to thread your nut onto the pivot bolt? It's 3/8 of a inch on my car. That's not enough for me to have piece of mind I rather not run the bar just to be safe. Is that it the same on your car? I mean.

The bolt will thread on all the way and leave no threads left. The fact that the bolt is using 100% of the thread means that its fully seated. Any longer and thats just extra threads. The only part doing work is the threads in the nut. Also a bolt like this has very low possibility to sheer from the nut threads. The bolt will snap before it sheers. The bolts I supply are 10.9 grade.

The heim joints do need a little playing with to get right. All I can say is make sure the nut is flat on the subframe, this way the heim joint can seat perfectly. I will be installing two of these tomorrow if you need pics to help you put the two bolts in.

I just had to be sure Mark... I just won't be able to run the washers/lock wasers that were included with the kit there is not enough space. Unless they were intended for the ball end nuts, Yea man pics would be cool if you don't mind.

Yeah I wasn't really comfortable with the length of the bolts either Topdog.

Since for some reason my oem bolts (one off my 91 and one I had recently replaced with a junkyard bolt off a 93) wouldn't thread onto the bolts provided.
I had to go to lowes and buy my own.
