Did you put the tiny washer under the heim joint? There should be a washed under the heim joint-to-plate.

The replacement bracket sits exactly the same as the original one (non-gc). In fact, since the bracket sits lower, it is impossible to bolt up the fstb since it sits on the intake manifold. People w/ highports should not have any problems, but it ain't happening for the 98-99 lowports.

Wow, I dont think we noticed those gold things on other cars. Ok, none the less we will fix this. First question, will the hood close as it sits? If yes how big of a spacer do you need? I can turn one on the lathe today for you.

The gold fittings are the norm on the 98-99 lowport sr20de's.
Negative on the spacer, the hood would not close if i were to use it.

OK I will send you out another set of plates. I will fix the design so that the bar moves about 1.25" foward.

i'll try putting the new bracket on this weekend.
i actually was messing around w/ the old bracket and made it fit so its a single point brace. i'll post some pics later.
