Oil Pans
After many threw bearings at the convention we are working on a new pan design.
Any and all input is appreciated for this project.

What I believe we need first are the facts.

Do all of the upper pans have the same mounting holes?
What capacity should we build them to?
What are some of the things you would like to see on them?
Placement for drain plugs? Turbo line taps?
Cooling fins? ...

If you are going to do this, I would talk to Kevin of Ishihara-Johnson before doing anything. He is a god of understanding oil pans and everything about him. He has been proven many times in being over knowledgeable about racing engines and how oil works in them. He knows all there is about the diffrances between the wide and narrow block SRs, the horror of the bump in our upper oil pan for access to the torque converter bolts, and the problems with windage in our engines.

Sonlong was claimed by rod knock also, but I doubt it was cause of lack of oil, but I'd still be down for the modified oil pan.

But here's what I did today, went back to Savannah and brough back the broken dragon with 2 tow trucks:

First 200 miles:

The last 30 miles to the shop:
