I wonder about that engine. That valve cover is not from the original engine for that car. NXen came with a black stripe down the center just like a JDM sr20 (because all NX2000s were made in Japan). All 91-92 and early 93 SERs and NX2000s come with the Black stripe
Late 93 and 94 SERs and 93 NX2000s have a complete Goldish-Silver painted Valve cover as seen in the pic.
95-99 200SX SER and Sentra SEs have a unpainted Valve cover ( Straight Aluminum )
Now if you take a look at your statement you will see that what you said is off. The motor is clearly not a 94 SER Lowport motor. So it must be a 91-93 Highport motor and if we know later model 93 NX2000 come without the black stripe then we can come to the conclusion that this is mostlikely the original motor.
