Thread: Speedometer cable

Hello!
I've been lurking on the forum for a while but today i decided to register because i do need some help.
My speedometer stopped working about a month ago and i thought i should try to give replacing it a go myself. Mostly because i would like to work on it myself rather than taking it to a mechanic.
As you can probably guess i am not very experienced. My issue is that i cant seem to find the speedometer cable going to the transmission. I looked around but i cant seem to find any pics or any detailed instructions on where i should look.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

ps. Not sure if it matters, but its an EDM 100NX GTi

The cable plugs in the top part. Has a circle with an ear for a bolt. Sticking up towards to the sky, in the rear of the engine bay. towards the firewall. That cable plugs directly into the gauge cluster.
