Those tires are going suffer alot on such a skinny wheel with a noob driver. The edges of the tires are going to wear out first due to squirm and tire rolling over onto the sidewalls.

Hopefully he wont hit any pot holes or a big bump and pinched them and or prob wreck him self up or totaled his car just because of " wanna be cool status " 14x6 there is no sense or any purpose or any gains or any advantage specifically on stock heavy rim but live&learn

Personally, I like the idea of 185/60/14 StarSpecs but they cost just as much if not more than many performance 15" tire options. It almost makes no sense to not go with a 15" tire from a performance perspective. I understand, @allmotor that the cost is right however. You may rub a bit on the rear and the tires may wear out pretty fast on the edges but $150 is pretty cheap for those caliber tires. Who cares. Go for it.

Exactly!! I fully understand the perspectives from the gurus that chimed in. This is a cheap experiment that this forum has not dabbled in. Other competitive cars run this combo setup.

I read a lot on the old sr20forum, especially the "205 and wider" thread, a few guys ran this exact tire setup with minimal issues, usually a small wheel spacer.

On the front the NX has a bit wider fenders than my old SE-R so I won't get the tire poke from the setup, hopefully with the stock NX 14" offsets.

Once again I will report back after I get this setup about fitment and then track experiences.

Thanks guys for all your input!! Keep this forum alive! Lots of good info on the old forum that needs to brought here lol!

I am stunned a 225/50/14 tire size even exists - unless there is some kind of truck running on 14's - there must be about 10 pairs of them in the entire U.S.

haha that's what I thought when I came across these. But I guess its for the Miata, mr2 and some 3 series guys. The guy I'm getting them from ran 4 sets already on his E30 build and is now off loading his gear. But they since have now come out with the correct 205 and 215 sizes for us FWD guys. But I'm going to get these on the cheap to play with.

Are there any pull yards near you?

If so, be on the lookout for some B14 15" OEM wheels. You can probably get an entire set for under $150.. then throw a nice fat tire on those....

I have plenty of b15 SE-R sets already so many they just sit right now ha. Also some spec-v's for my p11 build.
