Thread: Current exhaust options

Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for years and I'm finally starting to work on my car again. There a HUGE list of things that need replacing or repair. One of those is the cat-back exhaust. The NX's options have always been pretty limited and from what I can tell from searching, the VRS is the only one available outside of taking it to a customs shop.

Any suggestions?

SR20VE - stock, but with plans to drop in new cams (N1)

Maybe it's easier to source something in the US, but my options were only build it myself or have a custom shop doing it. I chose to do-it-myself


Go big!

With a VE and planning on dropping N1 cams the biggest suggestion is 3". I went with the VRS exhaust piping and had a muffler shop weld it up. One of the best things ive done for the VE.

I don't see the NX kit on their website. I guess I have to call them?

Get a hold of @LikeTheMovies. Hes a vendor for VRS and who I purchased the kit through.

I think I paid $155 shipped for a 3" piping kit.

You can get the tubing kit where you weld it together or a bolt on catback from VRS. It's listed under new products on there site i believe, they don't update to often lol.

I remember the VRS having some fitment issues on the NX. Anybody know if this is still the case?

If you are ordering a bolt on catback system its $20 more but they designed it specifically for the NX. The exhaust shop will make it work just the piping kit as well. I already had a muffler I wanted put on when I got my kit.
