Thread: Fun fact and general tidbits about the NX

Maybe we can all share all the fun things about the NX? This could be a good thread, or it could die a slow death in the depths of the vault of forgotten threads.

Anyway, I'll start it off:

Did you know that, when you remove the parcel shelf from the back, drop the rear seats, and flip the parcelshelf 180° on a horizontal plane (so that the back is facing the front), the parcel shelf fits perfectly over the back of the back seat, even fitting snugly between the trim pieces of the sides?

^^ I wonder if that was intentional? hah I will have to try that if I ever find a parcel shelf for mine again.lol

I think it was! We were stumped as well when we found out! The curvature of the shelf where it meets the top of the rear seats fits perfectly over the round edge of the bottom of the back of the rear seat, when it's down. And where the shelf has indentations on the sides (for those 2 small platforms on the sides), those will fit perfectly around the two side pockets.

And when it's placed like that, you have 1 big sturdy floor to put stuff.

Nice. Now all I need is a parcel shelf and rear interior. Post that Euro/USDM NX comparison you Pm'ed me lst week.

Pedro really? Its a piece that hides the contents of the hatch. Most NXs don't have them anymore. The clips are a bit fragile and people tend to chuck them.

The clips are interchangeable between other Nissan models. The K11 Micra has the same styled clips, drops right in!

Still, they're easily obtainable through the Nissan dealer. It's one of the parts that is NOT very expensive, as parts tend to be when bought from the Nissan dealers over here.
As for the US, best bet is GSpec.
