These are a cheaper price, at $62 shipped and a few of us have used them. I have a set of headlights with them, and @jingjing also has a set on his NX.

Here's Jingjing thread where he used those projectors

What did it take to install these beside baking the lights? Do they bolt into the housing?

Off this site what retro fit did you end up getting? Also was it a direct bolt in?

They fit through the lightbulb hole on the back of the housing and the rear part is threaded.
They come with an aluminum nut that you use to tighten them onto the housing so they wont move, and that's it.

They do come with a silicone ring that you place on the projector, between the housing and the projector so they don't move or slip while you tighten them.

Side note -
Baking is done at 350F for 10 to 11 mins. Remember to place them on a baking sheet or a piece of wood so that you don't burn or melt the housing itself.

AYE! That makes total sense. I think I am going to order a kit from Retrofit Source this weekend.

And if you have the time and want to take it a step further make some clear lenses, as opposed to using the molded glass

Don't forget to update this page with how things go! I am very curious to see how this turns out. I can see why they say to do the retrofit, but we have the fluted glass lenses and they don't work well with HID's/projectors usually. The reason people go to the VW kit is because they are clear lenses.
