My track car has a horrible grind coming from somewhere in the right corner. It's not the brake wear tabs or brake dust shields. I put it up on jacks and got the front tires to rotate in gear. It didn't make a grind so I"m thinking the axle carrier bearing is not the issue.
I did check for play at the wheels and I did find some. I think my wheel bearings might be shot.
Now I'm wondering if it was hitting some race curbing, putting some wheels off or high temps due to tracking that did the bearings in.
Ah well it was a great run with this car. I've had some great times with it on track and on the street. For a beater car it sure managed to put many smiles on my face.
I've got another NX that needs my attention, and I don't really want to spend the money to get new bearings. Looks like I'll be trying to find this thing a new owner pretty soon.
Also, replaced my passenger side e-brake cable that was snapped before I got the car. I would buy up a spare if you might need one some day, as it was TOUGH finding one. I found one online but no one shipped to Hawaii. Had to have it shipped to @daveracer and then he shipped it to me. Such a hassle.
