What? Do you think maybe the K1s are dirty because of the dust generated by applying the brakes repeatedly?

Yes by the shxt load of brake boosting I do when I'm going for the kill

But your comments about clean wheels are a stark contrast to what i have heard about white cars vs black cars in general. I will say it was much easier maintaining the appearance of clean on the lighter colored cars I have owned vs the dark colored cars.
I've never owned one hence I contrasted the situation with my white k1's

I currently own a white NX and a black SE-R, paint condition about the same for both of them, with both of them experiencing the same environment (rain and dust-wise) for the majority of the time. In my opinion, black tends to hide the dirt/dust accumulation better than white does. I feel that I can go a little longer not washing the black car than I can with the white one, all things considered. Yes, water/dirt whipping off the wheels looks bad no matter what but, for me, it tends to look worse a lot sooner on my white car.

Just my $0.02.

I like how far these are pushed out compared to stock, nice and flush. Which spacers/size are those? And how low are you to be able to run with the wheels flush like that and not rub your fenders? 1" drop? 2" drop? Stiff spring rates?

Thinking about doing something like this if I could pull it off without rolling my fenders. I have about a 2 finger gap between my wheels and tires BUT...my springs are quite stiff so I doubt I would get to the point that my tires could even rub.

What are you doing for the fronts as far as spacers? Any pics?

This is on stock suspension. With 195/65 tires. 2" spacer.
With no rub issues in the back. Up front 1" spacers no rub issues.

Now, with my other se-r (charcoal) rims with 205 tires, it will catch if I bottom out in the back.

On my black NX, I have a different offset and can run the 205 tires on the back with 2" spacer. If I want to go any wider I will need to reduce the spacer to 1"-1.5" pending how wide of a tire I want to put on. The black NX is in the process of getting coil overs, but currently has agx with stock springs.
Spacers will always depend on rim offset and how wide of a tire you want to run.
Both have 1" spacers in the front and I could go 1 1/2" on the black, but will be waiting till I get my coil overs (Koni inserts) done.
As always I will post pictures as I continue with upgrades.

Yup, completely understand. I'll need to get my rim/tire setup squared away BEFORE I start looking at spacer options. Currently looking at a 15x7 +43 with 225/45R15 tires. NX is lowered a bit but springs on my Tein coils are pretty stiff all around, so I'm not worried about bottoming out at all. Will have to see when I get to that point though.

Drove it and was reminded how much I enjoy driving these 13s.

Replaced starter and installed JWT ECU and E60.

Check engine light did come on though. ECU is for a 94 SE-R, installed in a 93 NX. Any ideas what I should check that would be different between the two?

Brake Upgrade Day!!!

Stainless brake lines (thanks @GregV!) all around, JDM NX rear brake upgrade (P10 rear calipers, JDM NX rotors), Altima master cylinder, and new e-brake cables (which did not work, as they turned out to be for rear drums).

JDM rotors (10.1" diameter) on the left, USDM rotors (9" diameter) on the right.

Rear brake dust shields removed.

Rear rotor on.

Rear Caliper and stainless line mounted.

B14 SE-L wheel mounted over upgraded rotor and disc.

And for good measure, front with drilled/slotted rotor, stainless line, and Axxis Ultimate pads.

B14 SE-L mounted over front brakes.

On another note, test fitted my TE37's on the NX.

205/50 DZ101 on the left, 225/45 SUR4 on the right.

Front fit fine but rear is going to need a 3-5mm spacer. Think i'll be ok running a 5mm without extended studs?

LMK what you guys think!

^^^What dimension and offset are those TE37s?
