With Carbon hatch and hood, Carbon T-Tops will complete it!

My main concern would be how this piece would hold up to chassis flex as this is a kind of critical piece when you think about it.

I would incorporate new seals and aluminum edging to keep the composite from flexing.

I would use the existing stock mount points with a similar mechanism to clamp it in place. Lever on each side probably. Chromoly tubing on the outer edges to keep it rigid.

heh, sort of. More like the S2000 removable hard top. I need to take some measurements to see if it would fit in the hatch.

My overall plan, in a nutshell.

I'll get to work on some 3D models.

Guys, keep in mind, I not only notoriously slow on side projects, I am also busy. I will be driving with 26 team members to the international Formula SAE competition in detroit for the first two weeks of May. This is our website: Gator Motorsports | UFSAE

But don't let my slowness get you down, I WILL make this happen, even if it's only for my own car.

Thanks Jimmy. We won't breath until we get a podium position. We DNF in the endurance event the last two years due to silly little (but huge) things like the starter lead nut backing off during the first half.

We still placed 27th with the DNF last year, had we finished endurance , we would have been guaranteed 11th place out of over 400 universities planet-wide.

I'm pretty set on making these for myself, wether you guys can handle the price of carbon fiber... I do have some doubts. After all, we are just a bunch of cheap Sentra owners, right?

Either way, if I can produce a fiberglass piece for myself, it will be quick (and expensive) to reproduce in carbon fiber for you ballin ricer types.

I'm looking for sources to keep the price as low as possible, but it's a bit scary. How much did you guys pay for the carbon hatch group buy?
