my winter projects
since i'm not driving the nx during winter, decided to do a few things while in the garage. first is put some projectors in the headlights. like everyone, the output sucks. i didn't want to cut the car up to fit golf headlights either. i did modify my fogs to install h4 hids, that made a huge difference. now i got projectors in. found some on ebay just small enough to fit inside the housing. took about 2 hrs to do both sides. won't know how it looks until i finish the car. gonna put a new header on as well. here are some pics.

They are 2.5" projectors. I would have gone with EDM headlights but this was cheaper and something I haven't seen anyone done. : )

Do those have cut offs on those? You should test the out before you put the car on the road if you haven't already and make sure you have the beam where you want. When I mine gave me all kinds of hell before I got everything dialed in. I ended up making my own extension (piece of PVC) to the projector housing and moving the bulb back to get the color change at the edge of the cut off.

If anyone is looking for some projectors and not having any luck on ebay here is a good link for some higher end retrofit stuff. HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc

I think I'm gonna get some Bi-Xenon projectors, some Bi-Xenon ballasts (or whatever they're called in English) and D2S/R bulbs, and then hook up the wires on the HID kit that are supposed to switch between hi and low beams, to the Bi-Xenon projectors.

They have cutoffs. Will power them up and make sure everything is working good before I assemble the front back on.
