Been smelling gas inside the car since I got it a couple months ago. It's driving me crazy and I would like to fix it. What is the most common cause of this?

have you opened your gas tank cover recently? Could be the gasket on that. I've also stepped in gas at the gas station and it transferred to my mat before. It sucked and smelled for like a week.

- So is it the fuel pump gasket, or the fuel tank lock ring? I think I need one. I just looked up the name on RockAuto.
