I finally got around to putting this little guy on. The OEM glue is some black rubber like silcone substance. I got a small flathead screwdriver and gently pried my way around it. There is a grey gasket like thing that is between the glass and the rubber compound. Just don't remove that! It will finally come off with a little work. Once thats off scrape any excess silcone off the t top, clean it and sand a nice new area for the new one to hold on to. I went to auto zone and got

ITW Performance Polymers/25 ml. syringe off white 15 min. plastic welding system (47809) | Repair and Epoxy | AutoZone.com

Apply to the underside of the shade lock, not to much or it will get all over the window when you press it down. Let it sit overnight and Wa la all done!
