Thread: High beams dont work

Wheres the high beam relay? for whatever reason the high beams dont work. Fog lights arnt working either. never had this issue before, maybe someone else has? The ground on the harness is good, low beams are also fine. if you hit a 12volt hot wire to the high beam wire, they come on. so im guessing the relay is not working. taking it in for inspection, so any ideas would be a help. i guess it could be the signal switch itself, but i wanted to see if it could be a relay first.

seems like the bulbs are out in both foglights....got voltage on the wires TO the foglights. But still no high beams.

It's likely your switch on the steering column. I had a similar problem. I think Nissan fixed it for like $200.

Nevermind...it's been a long day...

The copper fingers in the column switch frequently get pitted and screw it up....... take the switch apart and clean them, worked for me on several cars......

Ill have to give that a try. it really does seem like the actual switch is bad. i need to stop being lazy and take a look. excuse to switch my steering wheel.

I had same problem it was the switch.

ive got dual filament HID's on order....when they come in ill replace it and see if that solves things.
