can I use Sentra brake lines? + another question
I wonder if I can use Sentra brake lines?

I'm about to remove ABS and the two 'load dependent brake valves' using a Nx1600 master brake cylinder and the two brake lines going to the callipers (the steel part only) since I believe that will bolt on the Nx2000.

The stock front callipers on the Nx are AD22VF's, now I read somewhere that Sentra has different callipers. Does this matter for using Sentra brake lines?

I also wonder if there is a difference between a Nx1600 and a Nx2000 master brake cylinder hydraulically?

B13 to B13 no prob not sure about others. so 1991-94 sentra brake lines will work

So the SE-R up to 1993 has AD22VF's? There are no Sentra's overhere, that is why I am asking.

Also, what kind of callipers does the 1994 and onwards Sentra has then?

Sentra Se-r has AD18 brake calipers. Nx2000 has AD22.

Nx2000 MBC is different than the nx1600.

The lines should work the same even though the calipers are different. Since they are flexible and mount with the same type of fitting/fastener, there should not be a problem using those lines. I would, however, keep looking for more information about whether or not it's a good idea to use a brake master cylinder from a 1600 for a 2000's system.

I have two reliable sources telling me the opposite on safety using the smaller MBC.

I figured myself that by removing about two third of the brakelines, deleting ABS and those rear adjusters, knowing that the reducer (proportioning valve?) is in this MBC and it will be fixed setting.

I have rebuilt both front and rear callipers, put some normal pads on them and cross drilled and vented front discs and after a lot of breaking in on the front discs, it feels like lacking a little stopping power on the rear. I might end up with drilled rear discs or some racing pads on the rears only. lol.

I also get some braided brake lines, the stock ones are pretty worn out.

But this didn't tell me about the capacity of the smaller MBC, right now pedal has to travel quite deep and I really don't want the nightmare of a car that keeps coasting.

I should take both of them apart but I don't want to...

the lines will work just fine for the front...the rears will work if they are from a SE-R(has the 2.0liter motor like the nx2000) but if they are from a nx1600 or a base model sentra(with the 1.6liter motor) they will not work as it has the drums in the rear.
the nx1600 is valved for the smaller front calipers and rear drums ....the nx2000 is valved for the larger front calipers and rear calipers....
stick with the nx2000 MBC.
and you will absolutely love the s/s lines over the stock ones! They make a night and day difference!
