Thread: NX nose cut outs

i am sick of the heatsoaking my radiator takes from the grillessness and condensor when the AC is on and the ambient temps are waaay high. (Highway driving). Let me see your nose cut outs.
ALSO, I wanted to know if anyone could do a custom billet grill to fit into a template guided nose cut out. The NX is a bastardchild when it comes to airflow. It could be mounted with tabs behind the bumper cut out and have a frame to cover any imperfection in the cutting of the nose. There is much room from the bumper to the top of the nose and hood junction. I would like to start this project ASAP. I am just not creative with designs...

What do u guys put behind it like mesh thinking also about doing this to my Nx

I was thinking more about doing a proper vent on the back of the hood to pull the heat out of the bay and encourage draw through the rad....just my 2 cents =)

Id love a hood vent, if there was a way to keep rain/water out of it when its sitting.

You just need a simple duct to keep water away from the distributor and plug wires and if your air filter. The wires are supposed to be water proof anyways and you don't want the vent to be so big that it would be over your air filter anyways.

Not 100% on what you mean by a duct.

but i wouldnt want water continously dripping on anything under the hood.
