How do you solve the opening between the bumper and the MK3 headlight?

And if you try to adjust them with that thing that aids in adjusting headlight, you have to cut in the bumper right?

Mount them as close as possible and then extend the bumper. I used part of a junk bumper and molded it to my original bumper so it still has the correct shape and looks oem.

That is a good question on adjusting the lights???? ON my 2009 VW GLI when I lowered it I had to adjust the lights, and they adjusted within. the light its self. not the whole assembly. Does anyone know if it's the whole assembly that moves and adjusts or the inside light themself, on these lights????
