Thread: ABS Light

Ok I have been working on one light at a time. The air bag reset worked wonders! Now it's on to the ABS light. I have been searching but cannot find any info on how to turn the light off. It has been on since I have owned the car. Any leads on where to look or what to do would be great.

Check the abs fuse.
Maybe you have non abs axles on the car....you never know.

Or non ABS-CV-joints. Check for a gear ring (or at least it looks like one).

I'll take a look at the joints and the fuse. I am hoping that I have the axles on the car, don't want to have to go through the hassle of buying and changing them out.

You would only have to change the CV joints if you don't have the ABS ring :P.

Even easier, you just need to swap the ring over from an ABS axle to the ones you have on the car. Even non-abs axles have the perch for the ring on the CV, its just usually covered by a cover to stop dust/debris.

You want working ABS or just the light turned off?

the ABS on these cars sucks .....I would say I just wanted it off it it was mine

could be as simple as cleaning the abs sensors on one of the axles........ or worse...

Did you pull codes to see if the sensor is bad?
