I have used seafoam on a few cars, it does seem to work well.

I realize that it shoulbe be more efficient, but that's only hwy and off the boost

When I used to go to Japan, it was normal for a lot of their micro cars to have 1.2L or so turbo-charged engines, for efficiency.

My mileage has increased to the 280-300 per tank range and has anyone's low fuel light come on? I remember I rarely ever saw my original 93 NX2K when it would come on every once in a long while. I have not seen mine come on yet and I am wondering how low I can go on fuel before you see that little glowing gas light. Not a big deal and before some one gives my crap about me or my NX, what can I say? I am a very proud and happy B13 NX2000 owner and I am not embarrassed about it.

well maybe a little bit but a lot better than a Miata IMO.

Some B13's have a faulty light which isn't quite accurate I remember reading on se-r.net years ago. I do not wait for mine as it scares me to wait that long lol.

i usually end up filling up with 2 gallons still in the tank (put 10 gallons in each fill-up)

and usually the needle is below the "E" line at this point.

Be careful, I always used to wait for the light. Then one day I was getting just astoundingly good mileage. I was amazed. Then I ran out of gas. No light.

I think I'll be trying Seafoam for my first time on Saturday... Going to have my oil changed first and do the long term method (via the website) and run it for a full 2k miles in the oil. 1/3 oil, 1/3 gas (full tank of 93), 1/3 brake booster.

The brake booster part is what scares me... Do it let it suck it up just a hair at a time, or do I just stick the hose in the cup and let it suck it all up.
In my head, I see it clogging up something with fluid, stalling out, and not starting back up... Any incite and detailed step by step of the brake booster method would be appreciated. I've read all the how to's, but none are really in depth about the brake booster method.

I have a little tool that sucks it in there but really you could just put the brake booster line in the can and suck it up till it chokes out then let it sit for 10-20 seconds and crank her up then watch a crap load of white smoke come out of your tail pipe. My car had sat and sat for a long period of time so it had a freaking cloud coming out of it.

Good stuff really.

My car had sat for 6 months before I bought it. Put new fuel lines on, filled it with new gas, and started it right up.. I'm thinking the sea foam could really work miracles for me..

I'm just afraid that if I do something wrong, it WONT start back up... The car is my DD, so that would be devastating.

how many miles is on the car? My car was in the elements but the engine has 39,000 miles and some change on it now. I would probably be very careful if the cars engine has 100 thousand miles on it or more as this could cause leaks and such since that carbon crap is the only thing holding some older engines together.

The thing about when a car sits for so long then the rubber on the car tends to dry rot and ruin. Good Luck with it -- it does improve mileage and will work good on engines that are in good condition to begin with but I do not really think it is a good thing for higher mileage engines.
