Thread: NX domelights eating bulbs

Do you guys have this problem too? I went thru 3 bulbs in 2 months.

hmm ive had my nx for 2.5 years now and never replaced mine. its still burning bright.

Mine always melted the tips off the end, but not THAT fast.

Yeah, thats whats happening. The hole seems really sharp on the tips. I noticed the Sylvania bulbs have soldier on the tips now. I guess it is a common problem?

Solution:
Cover the ends of the bulb with a single sheet of aluminum foil. This will spread the connection surface and heat to protect the bulb.

I have personnally switched to using a Festoon 6 SMD LED bulb from a Ebay store. They operate much cooler and provides lots of light.
