Thread: Interest in Carbon fiber stock spoiler??

Hey just a quick question for all you NX guys.....We are redoing the exterior of my car. New paint scheme, the spoilers are coming off. It needs a new look.
My question to you folks is we are making a carbon fiber stock spoiler (on the rear deck lid) for my car. Yes my shop has the ability to do carbon fiber anything. We have not always had this ability hence the reason I have never tried selling the stuff.

The carbon fiber spoiler will have some tweaks, but I am wondering if there would be enough interest for it. Please don't start asking about other carbon parts.....I am just curious if there would be interest in this part specifically.

Would use stock mount holes and all.

i would buy a stock cf one.

i would on the other hand prefer one that goes out a lil father past hatch end similiar to whale tail style spoiler.

Thats more or less what we are working on designing.....a whale tale style. It needs to be subtle, but still a little edgier than stock

i would be down for a stock one...and "interested" in seeing how a modified one would look. would be nice to go with my new carbon hatch , since i don't really like the look of the hatch without a spoiler.

Shame the CF hatch can't be shipped to Europe . Or else I'd be saving up for a full CF top (hood, hatch, spoilers).

More input from the NX crowd Please.....This is going to happen wether I have enough interest or not I just want to know if I should prep for production on this, and if more would be interested in a slightly modified one, or just a plain stock one.

Depending on the look of the modified one, I'd be interested. A stock one sounds just as good also since I want a CF hatch eventually. (Too bad the CF hatches don't have provisions for a defogger. Sucks up here in new England on cold days to NOT be able to see out of the back.) ANYWAYS, Consider this interest, bro.

Well I will start having my guy working on it after this weekend We are going to try both.....stock and whale tale style

it can be shipped to Europe, its just very expensive!!! but it CAN be shipped.

I thought about making a copy of the stock spoiler in CF for the hatch deal. It would be pretty easy and we ball parked it around $200 or so and about $250-275 for a whale-tail type modification. Theyre so light as it is though, it would be purely cosmetic. I didnt figure 15-20 people would be in on a $200+ spoiler.

But if theres enough interest, I say go for it!
