Do the sachs units pop right in? I've tried both Strong arm #4510 and Mighty Lift D95564 and ran into the same problem. The ends that attach to the hatch are not aligned correctly to be snapped into the ball joints. I tried rotating the shafts to get the ends to align but the shafts would not rotate.

I got mine from Advance Auto. They hold up the hatch well and it's been over a year, but from the moment I put them on, the hatch doesn't pop up when I use the lever next to my seat. What gives? Cheap shocks, or something else?

Its been 6 years since I replaced the ones on my old NX with the Mighty Lift D95564 but there was a small mod needed to use them. I think I had to remove the old mount to change to a new ball or something like that.

Adjust your latch a little lower.

Ebay Bay supplied mine, and they were bad ass...

Aztec, i don't think the hatch is designed to pop all the way up when you pop the lever, otherwise it would get damaged in low areas... if you're speaking of the hatch unlocking, then that's a latch issue.
