Thread: How good are the Tokico Blues for the B13?

The tank is metal,so Iam pretty sure its rust.When gas breaks down...you get water in the gas,therefore rust.
After about 5-6000 miles I had to pull the pump again and clean the sock again.The car was stalling around right turns.

True but i hqve had no performance issues other than a huge amount of pressure building up in the tank due to the bad check valve. I also had huge pressure built up from the bad fuel filter. I would almost rather buy a whole dam new gas tank then have to clean the old one out with hydrochloric acid. Is there an easy way to tell if you have that crap in your gas tank? Thankd for the help

that is why if mine is fubared up it is straight to Nissan for the 260 dollar gas tank. Not worth my time to try and clean that shit up. I can have a whole new tank put in in probably 30 minutes.

Hopefully it is just the fuel check valve and it runs to the charcoal canister I believe and it is also more than likely leading to my warm engine take off hesitation that I have been experiencing since the FSM states to check the lines from the canister when solving this particular problem. However, I am more concerned with the pressure build up then I am about the hesitation.

This thing is coming along nicely though. I think I will have a great car once all this stuff is done.... LOL

I have good news and bad news. the good news is my gas tank is as clean as a whistle with 0 signs of rust. The bad news is the 18 year old rubber hoses where dry welded to the metal inlet tubes and I had to cut them. Also the o-ring that seals the fuel floater thing in was a little stretched beyond its normal shape so I had to get one of those as well.

So, I will have to install a new check valve for the tank and redo the o ring thing for the fuel floater and install 2 new fuel lines. It does not look like a really hard procedure the only thing I am not 100 percent sure of are the lines. I assume you just drop the tank shield plate and then the connectors should be right on the drivers side of the tank. two lines coming off --- replace them and then run strong again. Did you have to replace your lines when you did the rust cleaning thing on your NX eggman? thanks

Glad to hear that the tank is clean.
I didnt have any touble with lines...however I did have a different nx that has dry rotted lines on the tank filler that would leak when the tank was over 3/4 full.
I should have mentioned that you would need that o-ring for the fuel pump.They are prone to swelling up like that,or stretching.

did you remove your tank? Did you have to remove the skid plate for the tank to get to those lower fuel lines or can you work around it with the two lines? It would be a lot easier if you do not have to remove the skid plate thing and are able to replace the lines around it. It just sucks cause I have to wait a little while for the parts to come in. I guess I could use generic fuel hose but why chance it?

The line that was leaking on mine was actually easy to get to...no tank or skidplate dropping.
BUT..The hose is 2 different sizes on each end,so I just got one from Nissan instaed of trying to rig it.
