Thread: Door latch ?

Does anyone know if the latch mech. on an nx door is the same as any other nissan? My pass side door is stuck shut and cant be opened from inside or out.

I need the part on the door that actually keeps it shut. when you have your door open and look at the edge of it it should be held in with 3 screws. when you shut the door this piece hits the strike plate on the door jamb and keeps the door latched.

I have had this happen on the drivers side of my car and had to remove the seat through the t top and remove the door pannel as much as possible with the door shut. It is a major pita. When i replaced the drivers side one years ago the junkyard used to have an nx1600, which i got the latch from. They no longer have the car there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really understand what part is broken, but in this situation I would call the dealer and let them look up that part for a price.
