In my opinion this guy is going to hide now.

Make sure you have everything read to go

1. His first and last name
2. His Phone number ( he never gave a FL number )
3. His address. ( he did not want to meet at his house )
4. Complete printed add from ebay before they erase it
5. Get as much info as posible before he disappears.

I have all that information but did you notice the interior was different than any other NX you have seen? I thought all NXs came with the same type of interior? The gray buckets this thing had a darker weave type material looks similar but very different? Man truthfully there is not much I can do with it. You live and learn and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR ON EBAY EVER IN MY LIFETIME.

Again like I said if it was huge difference, I would try and do something about it but the car is not in a total trashed condition. Some new tires and a little TLC and it is a pretty nice car. A small claim judgment against this clown would be about a useful as an ice cube to an Eskimo. The insurance company that provides eBAY's buyer protection only works on cars that are under 10 years old. Of course this guy knew that before he did what he did. I am sure he is well versed in doing what he did with this car. He has everything in his wife's name for a reason. I got this too late and did not see you all post on this car before I bought it or I would not have.

Believe me guys, I believe in Karma and this guy will have to answer some day for his business dealings and I am sure it will be for a lot larger amount than this little red NX. I should have known something was up when the auction went for 4450 because if it was all he said then it should have gone somewhere in the 5-6 grand range. At this point, I am just going to run around in it and get the usage out of it. I looked at the engine and transmission and they are solid plus it still is a NISSAN.

Am I 100 percent happy, no because the car is not what he said it was. Overall though for an 18 year old car it is in good but not great condition. I should have waited till a 100,000+ mile example came up on auto trader since I would have saved 1500 dollars or so.

Miko can you tell me where on the transmission does the ODO cable connect. Does it read off the speed sensor on the transmission like them all or does it use a cable? thanks

if you look by the TB and look down on the trans you will see it a cable coming out the fire wall and going down to the trans.

91-92 have a speedo cable and 93 has a electict speed sensor

Yeah, I found it. One 10 mm nut holds it in so just undo the Nut pull out the sensor and viola you have a non- counting mileage odometer?

that is a messed up design if true. The 93s would be a lot harder to forge.

a 93 is easier, you just unplug it from the sensor

I don't know. It would seem to require a lot of foresight to unplug it at 20-something k miles in hopes of ripping someone off 10 years down the road.

I think its easier to replace the gauge cluster and make it look like it was never disassembled. What makes you think it was never disassembled?

It's all moot if you're going to live with it, but I'm just casually curious what the car's official 'status' will be when it gets put back up on the market.

A nice looking red NX is good to live with, though.

I will not go through the trouble of making a bunch of bullchit up about it. I took the dash apart the plugs and pieces looked as if they have never been off. This guy is a big dude kinda like me and it would be dam near impossible for me to get behind the gauge cluster and unplug it from the firewall. I do not just believe the cluster has been off the car. The screws holding it in were pristine and the cluster still had the factory pin plugs on it without a mark.

Mechanical the car is sound -- interior and back bumper leaves a little to be desired. I think I am going to throw some Bridgestone or Contis on it an drive the piss out of it then pass it on later for 2-3 grand. That way I will not feel so bad about the 1500-2000 I just lost. It still gets 30 mpg and runs like a top and I can do all the maintenance on it myself so it is just OK,

The engine bay is very clean like I told you.

I think the car was hit in the back but I am not sure how hard.

Good luck and hope you can get your money back from this Nasty Guy.

That is not glue. It is metal rust from where the brackets that hold the air dam support has separated from the front bumper. Listen guys this SELLER could have just come clean on this car listed it on ebay as having a replaced bumper and new cloth interior and it would have sold for probably 3000 - 3500. If they replaced the gauge cluster in the car then they are better mechanics than me for I could not see a real clear way to do it and feel like the dash cluster has never been off the car since the connections were pretty tight and factory. The NXs interiors wear fast as I remember from owning my car and who knows but the interior while nice is not factory.

This guy instead of being honest could have just come clean on the car and still done pretty good with it. I am done with buying stuff off ebay expect for parts that I need. Like I said pretty much all I can do at this point is get some tires and ride for another 100,000.
