^ and as I keep reading how great the nx is handling-wise, it makes me want one that much more! Some day I will own one myself dang-nabbit! (still wanting to own a 240sx at some point too!)

One of the reasons the car handled so well and I remember when I owned mine was the special tires that they came with. The 195 55 14 tires were pretty special and made for the NX2000. I remember my 1993 had a buyers note on the drivers vanity mirror shade about them. Something like special compound summer tires??? It helped the NX pull .91 gs and out handle some really special cars of the time like a Porsche, corvette and an NSX. The only company making those size tires now are Falken and they make a road tire and a slick racing tire but the are like 180-200 dollars each. Why did Bridge-stone stop making them? that sucks. So, really the only affordable option is the sentra ser tire or the 185 60 14 since good ones are like 50-80 bucks off discount tire or where-ever.

They likely stopped making them because there wasn't enough of a market to produce that size in the latest tires as they were developed and brought to market. I switched to B14 SE-R wheels on my NX long ago and run 195/50-15 sized tires, which are available from a variety of manufacturers. They look great on NX's and are still a factory Nissan wheel.

The tires were not the real reason why the NX2000 handles better. The reason is because the NX2000 has a stiffer chasis, this is incorporated into the roof which is one reason also why the NX2000 is heavier than the Sentra. A SER with the same size tires as a NX2000 will not come close to hanlding as good as the NX2000

Now I want an NX as well. Just for the handling characteristics. Found two on AutoTrader, but they are over 360 miles away from me for the two that could possibly be crap or crappier.

^^^ you will NOT regret it man! I sold my NX and hated doing that. Ive owned 3 so far and by far the best combo would be a VE in an egg.

I run greddy easycams in my s14 -- What kinda cam options due they offer for the de? I know that the sr20 head likes to breath really well and some cams really helps the engine out a lot.
