Congrats jamanrr. You got the benefit of a doubt. We are not a**holes, just hardcore Nissan enthusiasts with a deep passion for our rides just like you. I think now you see why we hold Andreas in high regard on this forum, he knows his stuff. You seem like a cool dude and probably reacted no different than anyone else when cornered. You've joined one of if not the best forum on Nissans and SR related topics on the internet. And yeah we are a pretty close bunch, which can be good or bad depending on which side you're on. thanks andreas for your information on this vehicle from the beginning... you went above and beyond after you went to purchase it to state your case and findings, you didnt have too and I think everyone appreciates it...

Jamanrr: good luck with the car, I hope you didnt get a POS and that its clean in the end and if all ur problems are a new interior and a repaint then u made it out ok: but if you have frame issues and such then its a lil bit more of a problem(so it always could be worse)...

Anyone who doubts Dre's knowledge and integrity is an idiot. I have known for Dre for well over ten years now and since day one he has told me and others that he prefers the NX2000 over any other SR20 powered car so again when it comes to NX's the man is simply that. "The Man"

I got into a pissing match with Andreas when he first joined, about the price of some SE-L wheels. Then I bought them from him, and they were immaculate.

I understand you are a tight community but nothing is perfect not even my 1996 Nissan 240sx SE nor this 1992 Nissan NX2000. They are old cars and unless you are Nissan North America and stuck a model of each car in an environmental controlled time vault then there are going to be imperfections.

I will have to judge if all things Miko claims about this red NX are facts. The tires I do not care about, the corrosion of the a/c condenser I do not care about. However, I do care about the small rust spot on the hatch and will have it fixed. I am sure I can fix the trim molding on the drivers door that has peeled up and a shift knob is an easy repair. As far as the body from what I understand it does not have a dent in it and I think if the bumper has been repainted then my buddy would have told me when he had it on the lift. He said the screws and rivets looked like they have never been touched. If there was glue holding the front air dam chin spoiler on then I will find it. I pulled the whole front end of my 240 off and had it painted then a greddy front lip added so I can handle a little NX. It probably is just a clip missing?

Everyone has different expectations of what cars are and what cars should be. I work with and around cars for a living. Once, I was in St. Louis at the west St. Louis Bentley dealership and they had a Ferrari Dino setting in their shop. I looked at and even opened the door and looked it over real good. The last Dino I saw was on Barrett Jackson selling for 3 million dollars. Well this car had really bad seats. It was all there except for the seats. They were trashed and this was a car that only the elite of the elite would own. All cars regardless of make and model are gonna show wear and age. Just the way it is IMO. They can be refreshed and brought back some but then they will just end up in used condition again. The best you can hope for is that you are as easy on them that you can be and that they last.

that is just it though. His NX while probably nicer than the one I bought is NOT 100 PERCENT either. I saw it and he has some aftermarket parts on it and some not so perfect pieces on it. To find one without flaws Nissan would have to start making the NX again and that will not happen. Although we can have hope. Rumor has it that they may start making the 240sx again.

Jamanrr, why not expand yourself and thoughts to another thread and enjoy what the forum has to offer, its getting old. Enjoy the forum for what it is. Stop harping on the same thing over and over again

The thread was not about bashing you or the car you bought. All it was about was someone posting about a car and I just haapened to to take a look at it and gave my opinion on what I saw and what happened to me.

The car is probably nicer than most NX2000s roaming the forum. Get it fixed the way you want it and drive the hell out of it.

Trust me the NX2000 is a great car, but at no point and time is this car going to be a colectors item that is going to make you any money. the best that is going to happen is it will hold its value.

I dont buy cars to store them, I buy them to enjoy then and drive them. I am only on the planet for so long so I am sure as hell going to have fun with whatever car I buy or motor bike I buy.
