Could Miko possibly have seen that and thought it was repainted?

the picture in front of my face that you posted shows that it is painted.

As far as a clear coat I could not say.

Dam the paint does look sweet on that ride. Repainted or not doesn't matter to me. It's shining and that is what I like to see. When I get my maui sport g20 painted I'm not going to feel like it's less of a car. I will feel like it's brand new all over again .

If this is true, then the car was touched up after Miko saw it. That's all there is to it. You can take that to the bank.

Keep the info coming.

man I sell to body shops and help them out a lot. I have had numerous things repainted. The only real way to tell if something is repainted is to get down on it and direct sunlight. You can see imperfections in it or scratch marks where they sanded it out and then resprayed it. That is about the only way to tell 100 percent. I could also tell by removing the bumper marker lights and what ever color is underneath there is the color that the bumper once was.

Not necessarily. I don't care how good of a paint shop you are, I'm going to find an imperfection, or an exaggerated perfection.

For instance, absolutely no orange peel anywhere on the car? Not from factory, buddy. There's going to be orange peel pretty much everywhere. Even a 2 day detail won't remove EVERYTHING.

Otherwise, fish eye, runs, etc. can all be found on a car that has been reshot. I've had enough re-sprays to know exactly where to look.

Secondly - If memory serves me well, the gray unfinished striping is not clear-coated from factory. It is left as an untreated gray plastic molding. The only people you can really verify with are those that bought one new off the showroom floor, or dealer lot.

I do not know about that but my 1993 NX2000 that had like 3 thousand miles on it in 1993 had a rough orange peel coating on it towards the bottom of the rear bumper. If I remember correctly the ground effects on these cars were really prone to rock chips and road debris. Thus they used some sort of undercoating for the bottom of the rear bumper to allow it to not be as effected by road debris. The 1993 NX2000 though had color keyed body moldings and were not left polyurethane Grey.

wow, Miko that is a very clean 104,000 mile NX2000 congrats but I thought this thread was about a 32,000 mile red NX2000? - just saying

and why did not all NX2000 come with leather steering wheels?? -- this red NX2000 has it my 240sx has it al beit worn down a little bit and my old red 93 NX2000 had it. Yours does not?

They are expensive as hell though. The one to replace on my 240 is 600 dollars.

You showed the bank statement congrats again so I believe you and I still think this is not a 6 thousand dollar car nor was it a 5 thousand dollar car. Who ever pays 6 grand for a 20 year old NX2000 it better be MINT in all regards. This car does have some imperfections such as a rust spot, a scratch on the interior door and a worn down shift knob a little. I have access to a lot of body shops for the rust spot, probably can fix the door scratch since it is right close to the handle and a shift knob is 60 bucks from courtesy Nissan. I do not blame you because I never would have paid 6 grand for that red NX2000 either but it is also not a 3000 dollar car as well. The dude probably thought at the time he showed it to you that he could get 6 grand for it on eBay but it never hit that and he did not put a reserve on it.

There you have it statement from Bank of America with the withdrawal on 07/02/10, thats the day I drove up to look at the car. ( The Guy Said He Never Met Me, I wonder Why )

Driver side seat, passenger side seat with both door panels in 100% perfect condition at 104,788 miles. To make it even better these are the light seats that can stain easily and there is not one stain, nor is there one rip.

Again steering wheel in 100% pefect condition.

AC condesor at 104,788 miles and is almost 100% corrosion free.

It is about your 32,000 mile car, but you said a NX2000 with over 100,000 miles will have ripped seat. Mine does not and it never had seat covers.

I am glad you asked about the NX2000 steering wheel.

91-92 NX2000 come with leather steering wheel.
93 NX2000 come with rubber steering wheel.

Lets now take a much closer look at the 104,788 mile NX2000 AC condenser core. Notice I am taking a pick realy close up.

Now lets look at red NX2000 AC condenser core not so close up and you can see the corrosion everywhere and this is a NX2000 that should have 32,000 miles and from the guys own ebay auction ( KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE UNDER COVER )
