Immaturity? Funny, some folks accuse me of that same attribute. Strange I know.

I am not sure about my maturity level (or lack thereof), but some of my behaviors and language when I am activated (upset) are indeed rather savage from any reasonably sane and civilized human beings perspective. Including my verbal but very real threats towards you earlier.

To be sure, I am outrageously protective of those around me. IF you stick around, you will eventually know for a fact that Miko is no liar and, good or bad, I am exactly as I appear and present myself. On-line, real life, same exact guy. Plenty of folks on here have met me face-to-face.

Finally, folks will tell you that I am very touchy, got a zero-trigger fuse, about any sort of bigotry or prejudice. Perceived, intentional, or accidental, I am a poor and highly-biased judge. We have Forum Rules in place to that effect, no bigotry or prejudice based on skin-color, ethnicity, country of origin, religious affiliation or sexuality. That feeling is community-wide, but I am admittedly (not to mention justifiably and righteously) blindingly quick to lose my temper completely and escalate the aggression (on-line or in person) over such remarks. And you sir, unwittingly struck a serious and very personal nerve with your "boyfriend" insult.

To you it was perhaps a "casual insult" and response in the heat of the moment. It is in fact metaphorical hate-speech. Aimed at exactly the wrong guy for that particular form of insult. You got better odds of getting struck by lightening. And a lightening strike may be a pleasant experience compared to some things I have done to folks over the years.

I will not hold this against you, I'm not a grudge-guy unless someone is actually a no-kidding ignorant bigot. With a calmer mind, I can see your situation and understand to some degree your resultant posts. Please get this straight, call me anything you want, curse my very existence, as long as it is a universally offensive and an unbiased or bigoted insult.

If I held a grudge against everyone on this forum that I have vehemently argued with or berated, I'd have no friends whatsoever.

No further hostilities on my end, the Mods have spoken, and I'll back off completely as long as that agrees with you and is respectfully reciprocated.

good cause it was an off the cuff statement. Just like "go cry to your momma..." which is a fast and furious quote. Kinda like the transformers quote of "go cry to your boyfriend...." Just a statement but then I wonder how many people got offended by those statements. How many letters did the studios get?

Yeah, it would not be a pleasant experience for any of you to have a car you just bought being torn to shreds on a Nissan enthusiasts forum.

Fully understood. I retract my accusations of prejudice. I'm always hyper-sensitive, sometimes correct and oftentimes as in this case I am wrong.

Further, I apologize for my role in the escalation. I suck at diffusing conflict, lose my cool and invariably ratchet things up. At least I am consistent.

Agreed, it would suck. It wasn't personal, nor initially aimed in your direction, we were of course attacking the Seller.

Then let's just agree that things went to flaming sh*t in a hand-basket.

On a lighter note, you still have a pretty nice looking clean Egg. And, assuming you stick around the forum, an invaluable resource to fix that thing up as nice as you want. Whether just "OEM-perfect" or performance upgrades galore. Along with some folks that have a bit of extremely focused expertise in regards to your new ride.

thanks I probably will. I know lots of body shop repair managers so the most important thing to me is the penny size rust spot around the lower hatch deck. The seal will have to be pulled along with the glass then gridded down to bare metal and or may have to have more metal added if it is in bad shape. However from the picture, I saw of it probably is just surface rust. I bet the metal underneath it is in good shape still.

the rest of the stuff such as the shift knob and the door handle trim piece thing are pretty cosmetic.

WOW!

I wasn't online for 3 days and this thread just explodes!!!

I still don't even get why Miko even bothered to post his 'withdrawel' statement? It is his business what he did and he didn't have to prove it to anyone as far as I'm concerned.

At any rate, I did want to make one comment about the corrosion. Living in the midwest rust belt only 3 hour drive from Indy, I can shed some light on that tidbit.

I have had a car that I paid dearly for proper climate controlled storage and I can tell you that it is clearly visible the differences between that car and the one I had stored in my parent's garage in winter (never driven but covered in their garage). Here is why you can see differences with corrosion plain and simple... The 'garage' at my parents house still gets used in winter and opened and closed so a car gets driven in and out that is salt covered, etc. Climate changes every time that garage opens so extreme temp changes happened a lot (thus it was not in a true climate controlled environment). I can tell all of you for a fact that simple exposure to salt and air from the same garage will cause corrosion on aluminum parts and I have a 'never seen snow/winter/salt' car to prove it vs. a car that also never seen the same BUT was in a proper climate controlled garage (proper meaning no car parked next to it with salt coverings, no constant temp changes, none of the 'normal' things than happen... PLUS you get what you pay for with climate controlled storage complete with proper monitors of humidity, etc.)!!!!

it is the evidence of corrosion that takes away from it and it would only have taken one or two Indianapolis winters to get a car to start showing corrosion. When they moved it to Florida it slowed down the process but once a hot spot starts on a car it will do nothing but get worse especially with age. Again, I do not think at this point it would be super expensive to get this back to where it needs to be. Replace the condenser and surrounding bumper support parts then either have a body shop repair the small rust spot on the hatch or find a new hatch and have it painted. Pretty simple things to replace. That IMO would get it to the 5-6 grand range with those miles.

Just asking a question.....

Are Indianapolis winters any diffrent from Roanoke Vagina Winters. They are basically on the same Latitude and I know they use salt on their roads to.

It all depends. The weather patterns are influenced differently due to physical locations in the US. Those guys in states that surround the Great Lakes can take a beating compared to those of us on the coast. For instance, further north in Maryland we see on average 18" of snowfall yearly.

This last winter season, we saw record snowfalls above 80" in Maryland.

I think the average annual in the Great Lakes states would be higher than our whopping 18".

Hell yeah, There is a huge difference between winters and summers in the Ohio Valley area including the surrounding area such as Indianapolis than Virgina. My aunt lives in Virgina and they have relatively mild summers and some icy winters but the humidity is a little different around the mountains and the lower seaboard area. I have done training in Cincinnati and been like 30 minutes from Indianapolis. Most all of the cars there including new stuff shows the effects of their winters pretty bad. It is driving them in that corrosion acid based salt mixture which includes mud, sand, water, and other road grime that eats up metal. After 10 years of driving up there. Your car would have more rust in the wheel wells that you would be able to see the tires through the rear seats. The rust on this car is not bad so that leaves me to believe it maybe saw one or two winters there. If it had seen more than that it would have been a lot worse. I live in a non rust state and the car will not get worse than the condition it is in. However, go to St. Louis, Indianapolis or Cincinnati and take a look at 10 year old cars their wheel wells will look like Swiss cheese.

On a side not Miko, You could have bought the car and put your condenser in it and remove your hatch and have it repainted then sold your car (with the red ones parts on it) and probably have came out of it pretty clean. Then you would have had the OEM pristine car that you were looking for. Or you will have to wait days, months more than likely years before another low mileage NX comes to market. I have looked around here a little and there a few with less than 60 thousand miles on them and one 1993 that is in super supreme condition. That did not matter to me. I am overall more concerned with the penny size rust spot on the hatch then I am anything else as it will be the most time consuming and expensive to fix. I could care less about the little rust on the front bumper support brackets or the condenser unless it starts to leak and then I will take care of it.

In my personal experiences buying cars within the great lakes area, avoid Detroit like the plague... the worst rust buckets in the country (and fastest forming rust) seems to originate from Detroit area for whatever reason.

I tend to run away when I see a carfax that has anything more than a 1st year in Detroit!!!!
