agreed..

and 2 wrongs don't make a right...

wrong to misrepresent the car regarding rust and wrong of you to not check as soon as you got the car but it still doesn't give me a warm fuzzy about the seller in the first place.

I, for one, really want to know who this seller is so I don't buy from him (or her) (or approach with extreme caution) because odds are good I could potentially buy from this seller given how often I visit phoenix and buy things from local folks.

I don't think you should pile on the seller too much just yet. He seemed legit when he was on the board a lot but I would not know for sure. Its probably too late to ask for money back though imo.

Didn't you have a Gti-R you were going to trade for an NX? What happened to the R?

If it is original paint in great shape, I start to get curious about where the car came from and investigate more.

cant have it all. theres always got to be a sacrifice. I rather repaint a car then replace body panels, personally.

I disagree. Most of my cars have been really close to rust-free. My current car is and most of its life was from Knoxville. The weather here kills clear coats.

I bought a B13 from Indiana, and it was rusted bolt city! I will never buy another car that has lived north of Kentucky.

I hear ya on the "mint" part...as for the rest of your post, it wasnt about agreeing or disagreeing. It was a simple observation based on my experience. You want a Rust Free car, your odds are better w a CA car from my experience or any desert where the roads dont get salted during the winter...maybe I shouldve got that specific to clear it up LOL
Thats not to say its impossible anywhere else, but the closer you get to water or lush, green mountains the odds are there will be rust.

That's bad....

I bought a '95 integra many moons ago in LA. Apparently it came from one of the rust belt states - Ohio.. Well, i didn't notice the rust when i bought it because i did not look underneath.

Underneath the car was a complete rust fest - brake hardware was all ready to fall to pieces. Frame welds were ready to come apart in a year or two so i never drove the car hard. I sold it for nothing.

Look underneath a car before you buy it.. it'll tell the true story..

Nonetheless, sorry to hear that you got f'd.

.

I agree and wasn't stating it as a complaint but as an expectation for a true lifetime phoenix car (expect paint issues but be on alert if great original paint condition).

I hear ya...maybe if it was garaged and rarely driven, but anywhere that classifies aa a "sunny" state, the paint from back then just didnt hold up. It couldve been worse, like the Dodge/Plymouth Neons of that era where entire chunks of paint just start coming off while driving LOL funniest **** ever!!!
