If the NX lenses go well I don't see why not. I checked one place for the colored sheets, they need a large bulk order and they cost more The only way I could pull that off would be to do a group buy. I am going to try to see what else is around in the mean time.

Just a thought instead of using silicone to seal it try the black rubber sealant that permatex makes its in an orange tube (you can find it at advance auto or autozone) I've used that with better sucess than silicone when I put hids in my b14 fogs, or even better yet contact liuspeed and see if he can get you some of that grey goop that came with the hid projector retrofit that he sells, I believe its called kafuter, then you can bundle it all together as a kit
.
Just an idea

the black silicone is a good idea, the black from my expierence is alot stronger and would probably be better to use than the grey silicone for the lense installation.

how much do the sheets cost?

Mike22487 thanks for the tip about the permatex. It is defiantly going to be the way to go. I called the dealership about a price on the grey stuff. $55 for enough to do about 4 lights. It is a pain to work with, and you would have to heat it up to get the lens off, which might damage plastic lenses.

The place quoted me about $365 for 5 amber acyclic sheets that should yield about 3 lenses per sheet. The clear lexan is about $40 for one sheet and the clear acrylic is about $13 per sheet.

I just bought a used oven to be a designated garage (that melted plastic smell on food just doesn't work ) oven so things should get rolling pretty soon.

Ok so what color preference does everyone have if there was clear, amber, smoked, or other? (other please explain).

Also is anyone concerned with the plastic they are made out of so long as they are as at least as strong as modern lenses?

Is there a source for those now? Those would work pretty well with clear lenses. Like how the projectors come with cut off shields inside them.
