FMIC fitment and piping
Ok guys wtf did you guys do to make all the piping work? what did you guys use?? Custom?? Im trying to go front mount now and im having a hard time trying to figure out how im going to fit everything. Im looking at a GTIR kit from ebay but i dont know if thats going to work. I also am looking at a universal kit but i also dont know if that will work. A hot shot kit is out of the question since they dont make em no more and JGY wants like 500 dollers for the damn kit. Im running a GTIR t28 on a avenir mortor.. Any ideas? I know theres a thread that shoes Front mounts on Nx's but i couldnt find it

I wanted the shortest route possible and the biggest intercooler I could fit without having to hack my bumper support. Its actually pretty easy. The Cold side you route just like a CAI. Then just cut the little strip/tab of metal off of the side of the car where the stock bumper cover ends. Then just run your pipe through there to the IC. On the hotside you do the same thing and just do a 180 bend around to the IC. If your turbo is top pointed or mounted its prob a lil bit more in depth though but not really hard.

Which way you mounting it?

There are two strips of metal that stick out right where my coupler end. Cut them off and a 2.5" pipe will fit in there perfectly without having to cut anything other then that. Well and the front spoiler...

I'm going to help Jen out with the fitment of the front mount. I think he just wants to see it mounted so we can proceed

The piping kit won't be a problem, since he can get the GTI-R kit and we have all tools necessary to cut piping for fitment. I've even got some more couplers and t-bolt clamps laying around depending on the size of the kit he chooses.
